Looking to make a few new friends and talk about things like faith, justice work, mental health, the Bible, and so much more? Then a small group might be for you and we’ve got a good list for you to choose from!

Community groups

We gather to create community, talk about all sorts of spiritual things, explore the Bible, and pray together. Bring your doubts, beliefs, questions, and all of who you are. New folks are welcome to join this community group anytime; we love new people (and old people).

Fall 2019

  • Mondays 8-9:15p @ South Loop (Panera 501 S State). Starts September 9.

  • Tuesdays 11a-12:15p @ UIC's Flex Space (BSB 183 - 1007 W Harrison). Starts September 3.

  • Wednesdays 5:30-6:45p @ UIC's Hillel (924 S Morgan). Starts September 4.

  • Thursdays 5:30-6:45p @ UIC's Flex Space (BSB 183 at UIC - 1007 W Harrison). Starts September 5.

  • Thursdays 4-5:15p @ North Park University's Brandel Library (5100 N Christiana Ave).

bible exploration group

We're a weekly small group focused on taking an open, frank look at what the Bible has to teach us here in Chicago 2019. We use a contemplative approach to digest scripture as it was designed to be — in context, with multiple interpretations, and in community. Our group is conversational, not pedagogical, and aims to further understand God, Creation, and oneself through the Bible and each other.

sunday post-worship convo group

We worship together at Urban Village Church in Wicker Park at 11:15 AM and then gather for discussion in the lobby after the service.
